This is amazing because you can eat what you like on 5 days in a week. The study included a weight maintenance phase, ie. calorie & carb restriction 1 day per week which was as effective as daily energy restriction for maintaining reduced weight & insulin resistance.
You might think it is impossible to skip meals, because it may cause hypoglycemia, fainting, severe hunger, acid overproduction etc. I myself have thought this way before I tried it, so be realistic and try it to see what really happens. Reality is not as bad as you imagine it to be. I encourage you to watch the Youtube movie on 5:2 by Dr. Michael Mosley, then try it & see for yourself. Good Luck.
